It’s no surprise that Christmas is just around the corner. You might feel like there is a lot of time until you’ll be sitting with your family and friends by the Christmas table, but have you already thought about the Christmas shopping? Do not leave it until the last moment! I have the feeling that a big part of Christmas shopping this year, will happen in the virtual world of online shopping and here MyCityHighlight has some nice products to offer. I think we all in 2020 found out how to explore the area around us, how to become tourists in your own country, and how to appreciate the social time we have with other people around us. I also think that probably all of us, sitting on our sofas, are dreaming about being able to travel again, searching for possible destinations for our future adventures, and thinking when it will be possible again. You know the feeling? MyCityHighlight can offer something for now, or for the future. Let’s start with my favorite one, the Crime-Trails. A serious crime has been committed and you are the one to find the perpetrator. You will work closely with the local police department (on the other side of the phone number provided by us) on this. You do not really have much of a Sherlock Holmes experience? Do not worry, it is relatively easy and once you stay focused on the details, you will be able to find out who committed the crime. How does it work? You walk around the area where the crime has been committed with the crime file in your hand, you will send text messages to the number provided by MyCityHighlight to get hearings from the witnesses, hints, tips, and…from time to time some information that is not relevant for you at all. All of it to bring you closer to solving the case and to confuse your brain a little. You can read more about Crime-Trail under this blog article.
Our Crime-Trails are available in many cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Some of them are in German, and/or English, or French, so depending on where you are, or where do you plan to go and what language do you speak, you will be able to find something for you or someone you want to surprise with a cool present like this one. Crime-Trails are both, for teenagers and adults, but we are not forgetting about the youngest. In Switzerland, we have developed Crime-Trail for kids too! As mentioned, they are only available in Switzerland, but hey…don’t you wanna go there? It’s a beautiful country!
The second available product, that I would like to mention is our newest one, called Finding-Daniel. On this tour, you will be discovering hidden corners of your chosen destination trying to find our mysterious guide Daniel. Daniel is your tour guide who – simply did not show up! It’s your task to find him and explore the city at the same time. You can read about Finding-Daniel in detail in this blog article. The Finding-Daniel is designed for people aged 12 and over and is ideal as a group experience or team event or team excursion with friends, acquaintances, and/or work colleagues. For children from 7 years on we have designed the already mentioned Crime Trails Kids and the Detective Trails, about this one later on. There are many Finding-Daniels trails already available in Switzerland, most of them are in German, but if you’re interested in an English one, there is one in Zurich available for you. You’re not really sure what city would be the most interesting for the person receiving a gift? We got you covered with our Voucher options. Let them decide what city would be their favorite one to visit.
The third product I would like to mention is for some serious traveling lovers who like surprises at the same time. My definite top choice! It’s been produced together with our partner Railtour. On this trip, you will find out where you are going just before the start of your city trip (you’ll get the documents one week before). We strongly believe that the best moments happen unprepared and that’s what this tour is all about. Once creating the booking for a Surprise-Trip you will provide information about the date and amount of participants, their interests and budget. Based on this, the Surprise-Trip will be created for you. For this product, we offer vouchers too, so your gift receiver will be able to use it at some point in the future. Would be difficult these days, if you know what I mean.
Let’s move into the last one, one of MyCityHiglight classics, that have been out there for some years already. The Detective-Trails, never heard about this one? Find out more in this blog article, I’ll give you just a small introduction. Detective-Trails are all about exploring the city in a different and more exciting way. It’s not for museum lovers, but for people interested in alternative things to do. Together with Detective-Badger you will go out there with a printed Detective-Trail or mobile version and will search for tips to answer each puzzle, at the same time learning about the city or area you are exploring.
The last piece of advice from my side: don’t be like me waiting with Christmas presents shopping until the last moment, make sure you receive the gifts in a good time. The closer to Christmas it gets, the more stressful it becomes 😉
